Kiss the Ground

At last some hope about Global Warming, they have found a way to stop it, regenerate the soil. Kiss the Ground is a Netflix documentary about how the earth can absorb much of the atmospheric carbon. In the first place most of it came from there because of farming, deforestation and desertification. Absorbing carbon from the atmosphere will help stop the emergency so that we can temporarily use fossil fuels for power generation and slowly move towards sustainability.

To achieve carbon sequestration we need to change how we use the land. Presently some countries are trying to do this. Watch the documentary Kiss the Ground, a very clear plan that we can do now to stop global warming.

Down to Earth

The Netflix series Down to Earth inspired me write a post about what we can do to help stop climate change. The best thing we can do as individuals is become vegan. Another documentary on Netflix “Kiss the Ground” shows how farming is about 70% of the problem. Most of the carbon in the atmosphere has been released from the ground because of ploughing. The series says if we just rotated crops it would help to keep the carbon in the ground. Growers might rotate crops if we bought carbon friendly produce. The individual as buyer can make a big difference in a capitalist society.

Anyway “Down to Earth” reckons we should be aware of where food comes from and how it was grown. Buying influences, we can stop emissions. There is almost 8 billion of us, we need planet Earth as much as food.
