The Popes visit to Abu Dhabi, close to the home of Islam, was profound. All religions express a fundamental human aspiration for goodness. It’s appropriate for them to come together.
Indeed God, Allah and Buddha exist in consciousness, at the very least in human thought. I too think there is something beyond human perceptions. Religions, while focusing on their truths, are human expressions of that something else. All cultures are aware of something beyond our perception.
When I studied Anthropology, religion was often used for cross cultural analysis. All human collectives had a belief. Using it for cross cultural analysis we tried to arrive at what is fundamentally human, perhaps a desire for the good.
