We have already become cyborg with the smart phone. The company neuralink aims to further integrate our biology with technology, so as not be left behind by Artificial Super Intelligence. Intelligence will become immortal, we’ll be able to travel the universe with it. Perhaps we’ll find a way to transfer human consciousness to a computer, but would it be you without the heart? Artificial Intelligence is the pinnacle of Human Intelligence.
Next there will be Artificial Super Intelligence. Some suggest it will fix many of the world’s problems. Things like climate change, poverty, starvation, health care. Intelligence has become more tangible since we’ve created the Artificial. Intelligence is the association of the observed, and so can be implemented in computers. Consciousness is not a process, it distinguishes us from the artificial. Consciousness is a state of being, the unification of sensory data into a perceiver. A kind of biological magic from which we’ve created all our things, music, art, literature, poetry, computers. Consciousness has identity, and aspiration. AI does not. It may be able to compose music, but only in reference to human music, a representation of consciousness.
