Iran has a profound history. According to records, culture has existed there for 6,000 years. Formerly known as Persia, it is the places from which civilisation emerged. It contributed to the development of farming and metallurgy, things that shaped humanity. It distributed water for farming through underground canals. And the intellectual pursuits of philosophy, science, literature, art, religion. Let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Like all countries, it’s had problems with the distribution of power.
For countries opposing Iran, why go to war rather than seek dialogue? There was already talk about nuclear disarmament, some progress was made by Obama. Their nuclear program was studied by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). After fighting in Gaza, Israel has gone to war with Iran, and is now bombing Lebanon. We still need a two-state solution. In short, I am against war, anti-nuclear. The real problem is that countries believe they need nuclear for self protection, perhaps this war is evidence. We should be permitted to live freely, not be compelled to fight. People are being killed.
