On my site there are several posts that consider the influence of technology, and our immersion in it. I am mostly positive about computing, I want to see how AI develops as it holds promise for our civilisation. The problem with technology is humam. In life we seek public approval, now with social media we have the ability to communicate with so many people. Like I say in my last post persuadable so much is known about you, everything you do online.
We might see the end of individuality if we’re not strong enough. The online influencer’s are good at persuasion with all the personal data they have about you. They know the best ways to communicate with you. Some might think the system itself controls you. The Netflix film Social Dilemma below is a very good documentary raising these modern concerns.
