Quantum

Instead of bits, quantum computers use qubits. Beyond the binary logic of 1 or 0, they describe a third state, 1, 0, or ?. In quantum mechanics, this third state is called superposition.

Having three states, qubits cannot be transistors, and are very difficult to create. They need to be at a temperature of absolute zero. Google has had some success in their creation. This third state enables the exploration of possibilities in parallel, making them much faster than classical computers.

When such logic is applied to Artificial Intelligence, belief will be built in. Unlike current AI which calculates in certainty, quantum systems might better simulate human intelligence where doubt is fundamental, the logic of: yes, no, maybe.
