Gaza

Can the Israeli bombing of Gaza be considered a Holocaust? Originally a Greek word, today it means mass killing, according to the dictionary. A Google search relates it to genocide. Is that the objective of Israel, to remove all Palestinians from Gaza? You have to wonder how you might feel, if it were your home.

The Gaza Holocaust should stop. Stop the killing, let the people eat, and receive foreign aid. There has been many genocides throughout human history. Surprising to witness one perpetrated by the victims of another. The most well known Holocaust was that of the Jews, committed by Nazi Germany. During world war 2, Hitler attempted to exterminate all Jews. Israel’s actions amount to another Holocaust.

“In 1948, Britain allowed the Jewish state of Israel to form in the territory known as Palestine”. Google’s answer to the question, how was Israel created? A good thing too, after their Holocaust. Israel occupies more land today with settlements. Don’t take Gaza as well, they don’t have much land left. Palestinian families have lived there for hundreds of years. There has been talk by Trump of Gaza becoming the Riviera of the Middle East.

Does a Jewish desire to own the word “Holocaust” prevent the world from recognising another? Many Israelites call the killing in Gaza genocide, but some Jews say the word Holocaust is sacrosanct. The nation state of Israel was created because of a Holocaust, why not Palestine? More countries are recognising Palestine in the UN; Portugal, France, Canada, UK, New Zealand, Australia. The Israeli stealing of land for settlements has been divisive. Let’s recognise Palestine, for self determination.

I just want to go on the record, I like Israel and Palestine. I’ve been to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Gaza, the West Bank. I liked these places. My only problem is murder, war. Is the war keeping Benjamin Netanyahu out of prison? He presently faces criminal charges, perhaps war crimes will be added. Is it settlement expansion? So much killing, the prevention of foreign aid, food, the bombing of hospitals.
