Before coma I had many foibles. I often thought I was about to die because of serious health concerns.

Ménière’s disease left me dizzy and without balance. I sometimes couldn’t even walk. My body carried subtle pains, and awkwardness. Chest, abdomen, a general sense that something was wrong.

I went to see doctors, a couple of times to the hospital. They found nothing, said it was panic attacks.

Coma seems to have helped with the panic. Ménière’s is a neurological disorder. The dizziness and imbalance that once dominated my life has gone. Brain death seems to have cured my foibles…
