Warming

Kiss the Ground

Is a Netflix documentary about climate change. The earth can absorb the atmospheric carbon. Most of it cones from there anyway, from farming, deforestation, desertification. Absorbing carbon back into the land might slow down global warming enough to allow us to temporarily use fossil fuels for energy. To achieve carbon sequestration we need to change how we use the land. Presently some countries are trying to do this. Watch the documentary Kiss the Ground, a clear plan to stop global warming.

Down to Earth

Another Netflix documentary,  it inspired me to write this post. What can I do as an individual to help stop climate change. 70% of carbon emissions comes from farming, deforestation. Probably the best thing we might do as individuals is become vegan. Apparently crop rotation would help, and integration with existing vegetation rather than deforestation for farm land. Growers might change practices if we only buy carbon friendly produce. The individual as buyer can make a big difference in capitalism. Anyway “Down to Earth” reckons we should be aware of how our food is produced. Buying influences the system, the 8 billion of us.
